Orange beast is now more agile than before, KTM 390 Duke | Price, Mileage, Features, Power | HighRPM

Duke 390

The 3rd generation of the KTM 390 Duke is literally shaking the market with its sharp design which is now more edgy than before, making this bike more attractive and mean-looking at the same time. Regarding performance, the KTM 390 Duke always shocked the ride with its flying ability and instant power delivery.
This 2024 KTM 390 Duke has reduced some orange and weight too, thanks to that, along with the sporty design it is looking pretty elegant as well. More Sharp edges have been introduced this time and they are doing their job to give it a monster kinda feel.
Being a naked street fighter it's very agile like before and even more so thanks to the reduced wheelbase which added more maneuverability to this aggressive bike.

KTM 390 Duke Price

The KTM 390 Duke is available only in a single variant, costing you around 3.10 lakh ex-showroom.
There are two colour schemes that you can opt for Atlantic Blue and the other one is Electronic Orange. the Electronic Orange fuel tank and other parts are coloured orange like usual but KTM said this much orange is not enough so let's paint the riding seat orange, seriously speaking personally to me the orange paint scheme is not looking good it's too loud for me.

KTM 390 Duke On Road Price

Although this tough to tell you the on-road price because every state and every city has different prices for registering and other legal stuff.
But to get a rough idea the on-road price of the KTM 390 Duke in Delhi is somewhere around 3.58 lakh.

KTM 390 Duke Engine

So, this ferocious street fight draws out power from a 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with 89mm of bore and 64mm of stroke with a compression ratio of 12.71:1 and with Bosch Electronic Fuel Injection. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission with a Bi-directional quick-shifter and slipper clutch.
This engine churns out 45.3bhp of power at 8500rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6500rpm.

KTM 390 Duke Mileage

With this level of performance, this machine is returning some good numbers on the go. 29kmpl of mileage you can extract from this bike but this thing totally depends on your riding style as well.
The size of the fuel tank also faced an enhancement, now you get 15 liters of belly. Thus, the range you can expect from this machine is somewhere around 435km.

KTM 390 Duke Features

It has all those usual features like a gear position indicator, side stand warning, clock, tachometer, trip meters, etc. But other than these features it comes with some cool kinds of stuff as well like,
Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC)
Ride modes - Street & Rain
Track Screen
Launch Control
Cornering ABS
Ride-by-wire
Quickshifter+
SuperMoto ABS
Type-C charging port

KTM 390 Duke tyres, brakes, and suspension

Tyres- Front- 110/70 17
            Rear- 150/60 17
Brakes- Front- 320mm ventilated disc brake
              Rear- 240mm ventilated disc brake
Suspension- Front- USD fork with adjustable compression and rebound
                     Rear-  Monoshock rebound adjustable

KTM 390 Duke Design

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of KTM bikes but this gen of 390 Duke is looking very nice and I think this is because of the reduction of the orange colour now it's not hitting the eyes directly the addition of the blue colour is working greatly.
Now it is way more attractive than the previous gen, more brutal looking than the previous gen, and more striking than before. The aggressiveness that the KTM 390 Duke used to have is still there with some more power. Sharpness in the design is perfectly going with its personality.
Changes are not much but there are some, like more aggressiveness, which has been introduced in the design, new DRLs, shorter wheelbase, and a new paint scheme.

Talking about the front the headlamp design is similar to the previous one with no changes but now the sides of the headlight are joined by boomerang-shaped DRLs to add more anger to the face. Other than this everything is pretty same, no windscreen which maintains that naked street fighter legacy and look.
The side profile is mind-blowing and gives fresh vibes too, the orange-coloured frames look very nice and subtle. Seat height of 800mm is good for both tall and short riders. Still has that underbelly exhaust. The best part of the naked bike is that you get a proper engine view without any view spoiler. The decorative panels attached to the fuel tank have experienced length enhancement but this enhancement is going with the motion they are not interrupting the flow of the design.
Overall, this is a package, it has power, style, agility, personality, and whatnot. The brand knows very well what its audience wants from them and they are delivering that thing to their enthusiasts.
Nowadays, I have seen that KTM's image is not too good in the Indian market and that is because of an increasing number of immature audience of KTM, KTM is a fantastic bike but after coming to immature people who ride it as a toy without knowing their responsibilities that comes with power, riding bikes without any safety, and without following rules. These kinda activities are dangerous for the rider and for other people on the road. These things are defaming the brand name which is not good, so ride with responsibilities and with safety as well.
