Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
When things are not going as you want them to, when the road is not in sight, and when smoothness leaves the chat. Then that enthusiastic child inside you kicks you hard and pushes you to drop the gear and experience the adrenaline rush in your veins and your heart pumps like an innocent child accompanied by the vocal cord. From peaceful Himaliyans to furious Himalayan things change dramatically like the new engine.
Royal Enfield Himalayan is an emotion for a lot of people out there because of its versatile behavior and value-for-money price thing. Now, RE has taken that emotion to the next level by improving a lot of things in the new Himalayan 450.
What is the price of Himalayan 450?
So, basically, there is only one variant of the new Himalayan 450 but it comes in 5 shades thus, there is a price difference. The price of the Himalayan 450 starts at 2.85 lakh and it goes all the way up to 2.98 lakh.
What about the engine of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450......
The new Himalayan has a liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC 452cc engine with 84mm of bore and 81.5mm of stroke.
Thanks to this engine you can experience 40bhp of power at 8000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5500rpm.
Meanwhile, the old Himalayan was way underpowered in front of the new one. The old one was powered by a 411cc engine that used to churn out 24bhp of power at 6500rpm and 32Nm of torque at 4000rpm.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 mileage....
RE claimed that this bike will return around 28 - 29kmpl which is not bad at all and the capacity of the fuel tank is 17 liters which means you will get a range of 476km.
Features of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
So, RE took a big leap from the past and filled this bike with lots of features. The new Himalayan has a new fully digital round instrument cluster and this cluster is the main highlight of this new RE Himalayan.
The instrument cluster has phone connectivity which opens up many features like the segment's first-ever full navigation on the instrument cluster along with that cluster will also let you control music and calls, and inform you about your messages too.
Other than this it comes with switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control, riding modes, and ride-by-wire tech is also there for optimum performance.
What about the dimensions of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450?
- Length - 2,245mm
- Width - 852mm
- Height - 1,316mm
- Ground clearance - 230mm
- Wheelbase - 1,510mm
- Seat height - 825mm
Seat height is on the higher side and this thing is not good for short riders but RE has a solution for that too, you can choose low seat height as well but in this case, you have to compromise with comfort a bit.
Design of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
There are few noticeable changes in the design of the new RE Himalayan. Now, it is more adventurous and has more zest in its body language.
Still has that rounded LED headlamp with an useless windscreen and slick LED blinkers. That beak is still there, the beak for adventure tourer is like bread and butter.
From the side, the design of the fuel tank has been changed and comes with 5 new graphics on it including BMW 125GSA-inspired black and yellow combo. Comes with a split seat setup with nice cushioning and a good amount of room and the seat is pretty comfortable too.
Talking about the handlebar, the positioning is nice and on the comfortable side. The quality of the switches is the same as before. Because of the instrument cluster, there is an add-on in switches on the left side, this toggle switch controls the whole cluster. Both brake and clutch levers are adjustable, small round mirrors are not the best for the job but great for RE aesthetic.
At the end, in terms of looks, the changes are not much but in terms of power and features, RE has gone far and made Himalayan more desirable.......
