Volkswagen Taigun, the car with great looks and attractive character | Price Engine, Features, Mileage | HighRPM

 Volkswagen launched their stylish, bold and attitude holder SUV the Taigun which is full of character and personality, the way it behave is literally jaw dropping. Taigun is that SUV which has all the things which makes a SUV an interesting SUV, if you talk about power the 1.5 TSI is their, if you talk about the cabin it is the owner of one nice room however, siblings share their stuffs is definitely the case with this and Skoda Kushaq being a member of same family you can spot many things same in both the vehicles. 

The car is blessed with 1.0L and 1.5L TSI petrol engine with manual, Torque Converter and DCT transmission although the diesel lovers have to wait a bit although the brand do not have any kinda statement or clue that they will launch the diesel but let see, so far so good. 

The price of the Taigun starts at 10.49 lakh and the top model of the Taigun cost around 17.49 lakh. The car comes with only petrol engine, no diesel is available however there are two petrol engines available the 1.0L and the 1.5L.

It got two engine options where the both are pertol and turbocharged engine, the 1.0L produces lesser amount of power and torque compare to 1.5L which is obvious.

Therefore, the 1.0L is 999cc 3 inline cylinder DOHC turbocharged 1.0L TSI petrol engine which which cooks around 114bhp of power at 5000rpm and 178Nm of torque at 1750rpm, get two transmission, the 6 gear manual and 6 speed automatic Torque Converter which also get paddle shifters and sport mode. 

On the other hand 1.5L TSI 1498cc 4 inline cylinder DOHC TSI EVO with ACT turbocharged engine which pumps out 148bhp of power at 5000rpm and mind blowing 250Nm of torque at 1600rpm, get 6 speed manual transmission and 7 speed DCT transmission along with paddle shifters and sport mode. The car has FWD drivetrain and BS6 emission norm. 

Brand is included numbers of features and safety measures but that's only limited to the top end of Taigun.

The car is not msot fuel efficient in nature, the 1.0L engine gives you 18.1km/l of mileage with manual transmission and 16.44km/l of mileage with Torque Converter. 

Meanwhile, the 1.5L engine with manual transmission gives you 18.47km/p and DCT gives you 17.88km/l. 

The size of the fuel tank is 50L. 

The top end GT get alloy wheels with sporty alloy design and the size of the tyre is 205/55 R17 bith at the front and at the back. 

It get LED lights everywhere, inside out but unfortunately, the fog lamps are still halogen and at this price point it should get LEDs.

Exterior 

With its bold and stylish look, the way this car express itself is amazingly amazing. I'm not a huge fan of boxy design I like sharp and striking body language and Taigun has that sharpness not too much but enough. 

Front 

The front of the car is very nicely design, fixed, it is giving a swaggy and aggressive look to the vehicle. The slick design of the grille is carrying that amazing design very nicely and sportingly, the chrome is there placed impressively. The grille is connected to the headlamps, and headlamps also get that slick style. The lights are all LED and get sporty DRLs as well. The one thing I'm nit happy is that fog lamps, its a 17 lakh (ex showroom) which means almost 20 lakh (on road) and it won't have LED fig lamps that's kinda sad for me. Other than that, the fog lamps also get chrome housing which which enhances the expression of the face.

The bumper get that sharp touch which amplifies its sporty character. The hood of the car get some aggressive lines which are adding more attitude to the car. 

Side profile 

In terms of length this one is not the king of the segment, the reveals are bit longer although the design is just mind blowing. Look at the shoulder lines they are giving a solid build indication. It get roof rail which functional. The windows are large enough to draw good amount of light which refresh the cabin as fast as you blink. The door handles are body coloured with chrome highlights and a line running across the side within handles that ensure the attractiveness of the car won't fall a bit. The black cladding is their. Tyres size is nice for this kinda SUV, alloys are also blending in its momentum. Ground clearance is not too much but good for a family SUV. 

Rear end 

At the back, some great stuffs are going one like one of my personal favourite and I think everybody loves that is that continue tail light on the the boot lid. Taigun get that connecting tail light thing and a thin tail light line on the boot gate is just astonishing. The tail lights are looking marvelous indeed, and being LEDs they are bright too. You get Taigun badging on the boot gate, hugh mounted stop lamp embedded in spoiler, defogger lines are there along with rear windscreen washer and wiper. The diffuser gets a silver kind of treatment which we have seen on the bumper as well.

The car comes with shark fin antenna and sunroof as well, panaromic could have been better. 

Interior

Cabin of the car is very nice and impressive it have all those amenities which reflects the price point of the car. 

Rear seats, the car provides you good amount of space over here, it get reaf center arm rest with cup holders, best thing is that it get three headrests and they are adjustable although there is a slight hump in the middle of the floor so probably the person who will sit in the middle might face some difficulties but it will enjoy the AC most because it got rear AC vents. 

Front seats, seats have good level of comfort and support as well. Seats are manually adjustable, having nice amount of space, side bolsters are there to hug you if your girl or boy is sleeping, means cars also love💜.

Dashboard, amazingly dashboard has been finished by the brand, all the elements are merging altogether fantastically. 

At the middle of the dash, the infotainment system is resting with intersting shape, this system is full of things, it got apple car play, android auto connect and Volkswagen connected feature too. Just below the system it get two AC vents as usual, below that all the AC controls are present. The gear lever is greatly finished by, the manual hand brake there as well and center arm rest with storage too. 

Coming to the steering wheel, the three spoke flat bottom multi function steering wheel which has height adjustment thing not reach. The automatic versions comes with paddle shifters too, the cruise control, volume, call, music, and other usual controls are embedded in the wheel.

Instrument cluster, all digital unit shows you plenty of information about the vehicle. The graphics and the animation VW has done is simply fabulous. 

So, the car is perfect for a family, it have all those thing which you expect from this range of price and the party popper is that it comes with both type of transmission and engine, if you are not person with speed then it have option for you and if you are a person who love to drive then it have engine for you as well. Things which could be better are, definitely the fog lamps, sunroof is great but panaromic could be better. 

Therefore, this the new 2021 Volkswagen Taigun......
