Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been launched at 44.95 lakh with lots of surprises | Price, Battery, Features, Range | HighRPM

First day of auto expo India and Hyundai launched the all new Hyundai Ioniq 5 the all electric EV SUV in presence of their brand ambassador, King Khan SRK who made this launch more electrifying.

Design of Hyundai Ioniq 5 is full of character and have a nice momentum, with elegance the designer/s added sportiness is just amazing to see. Being a future, the futuristic touches are properly coming out and telling about the Ioniq 5. Some cool elements giving it more presence and attractive personality like those eyes Hyundai is calling them parametric pixel LED headlights at the front they have given a LED lights vertical strips complementing the headlights. Geometrical shapes of the lights are seriously looking great and the tail light design is like that old school block video game which is looking very cool indeed.

The Ioniq 5 is launched in the expensive section of the market with price of 44.95 lakh which is more expensive than the Hyundai Kona.

The main ingredient of the EV dish is the battery and in this Hyundai you will find liquid-cooled lithium-ion with a battery heating system and the capacity is 72.6 kWh.
Another main ingredient is charging, it supports both AC & DC charging. AC charging of 11kW can juice up Ioniq 5 in 6 hours and 55mins means almost 7 hours, whereas DC from 10% to 80% can be charged in 57mins with a 50kW charger and 18 mins if charged with a 350kW DC charger.

The car is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) connected to rear wheels. In terms of power, you can enjoy 214bhp of max power and a torque of 350Nm.
Thanks to these power & torque figures Ioniq 5 can touch 100km/h from 0 in just 7.6 seconds, not the fastest but not bad at all.
Another main ingredient is  range, therefore, Hyundai is claiming a range of 631 km in full charge so in the real world you are going to get 500-550 because many things affect the range of a car like your driving style, road condition, traffic, and other things.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 also gets a smart regenerative braking system that helps in improving range.

Basically, the Hyundai has focused on lavishness, features, range, future and most important on sustainability. Almost whole cabin is made up of sustainable material like, the material that is used for detailing of the door from inside is made up of paperette which is 100% recyclable, seatback and door armrests are made up of recycled plastic bottles, floor mates also contains bio components of sugarcane and corn and flaxseed oil is used for dying seat leather. In terms of  sustainability Hyundai went 2 steps ahead with Ioniq 5.

Face of the car is having sharpness which is working with the motion it is not going against the whole look of the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Being an EV there is no need of grilles but for completing the look black treatment is there and lower part of the face is also having vents kind of elements.

Coming to the side of the car the first thing that is going attract you is the design of wheels which enhance that futuristic appeal of the car, other than design 255/40 20 tyre is providing great grip as well and at both the ends disc brakes are giving their best.
The lines on the side are so nicely and neatly that they are blending with the whole car greatly. Aluminium kinda of touch on the lower side of the side and on the wheel arc is just looking fab.
Talking about the dimensions of the car, the length is 4,635mm,
width1,890mm,
height 1,625mm and
wheelbase is of 3,000mm.

Rear of this Hyundai is looking very innovative as such, the sharpness and the lines and stuff are maintaining the whole design lang. I was talking about the tail light which is looking awesome.
Roof mounted spoiler is there but no rear wiper and washer which is kinda surprising are they coping Aston Martin DBX........

It is full of features and it also get ADAS 2 which gives you,
Forward collision warning
Blind spot detection
Lane keep assist
Lane departure warning
Driver attention warning
Adaptive cruise control
High beam assist
Leading vehicle departure warning
Rear cross traffic warning
360 camera

Other than these features it have,
Safety 6 Airbags
Electronic stability control
Vehicle stability management
Hill-start assist control
Multi collision-avoidance brake
Parking assist Front & rear parking sensors
Electric parking brake
Tyre pressure monitoring system
Virtual engine sound system
Child seat anchor & child lock
It also have a feature Hyundai call it V2L which is Vehicle-2-Load in the cabin it get a socket which give you output 3.6kW through which you can power a lot of your gadgets like coffee maker and other things of yours.

When it comes to interior this where Hyundai pour all its innovative mind. The use of sustainable material is just amazing and the play with tones of material colour makes the atmosphere very light and relaxing. Rear seats having good amount of space and there is no hump in the floor therefore three people can sit easily. Front seats also very nice and they are electrically adjustable too with ventilation feature as well.
There is no center console tunnel attached to the dash of the car which mean you can walk through if it is necessary. Cars have sliding front arm rest Ioniq 5 is having sliding center console.
The dash is the real highlight because of the way all the elements are put together. The fashion of big Mercedes like screen is spreading like forest fire from BWM to Hyundai every brand is adapting that. Back to Ioniq 5, it gets a massive screen which is divided in two sections, the right one is for instrument cluster which is controlled by buttons on two spoke steering wheel and the another section is infotainment system which literally filled with feature.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 is rich in features and the looks are just amazing but right now the problem charging problem because in India EVs are coming out one after the other and charging stations are not enough in our country.....
