AMG and convertible is a lethal combination of fun | Price, Engine, Power, Features | HighRPM

 Say whatever you want to that soft top convertibles are not practical, are not safe, are not good in terms of refinement and etc.... etc.... But you can't deny a fact that convertibles are one of the most cool and fun to drive vehicles out there. With unlimited head room and sweet wind on your hair is more than enough to claim you and relax you down. 

Mercedes is giving back with that fun to its lovers with their new AMG E53 4-Matic and being an AMG the convertible thing do its work and AMG helps you to experience adrenaline rush. This blend of cabriolet and AMG is just fantastic and moving with swag is another fun. The car is as beautiful as other Mercedes out there, design language is very impressive slightly on the sportier side and more on the sexy side and with roof down it looks even more sexy. The curves and the bold lines on the exterior defining style more clearly and making it a picture perfect car. 


Being a Benz it have to be expensive and on top of that it is AMG which means more money from your pocket. So, this car is launched in India with a price tag of 1.3 crore ex showroom and only available in single variant, the 4-Matic. 
Pricing is definitely on the higher side because of its powerful engine, because of cabriolet, because of style, because of luxury and most important because of brand and it is a CBU car so price increases as well. 

The appearance and the potential of the car is standing on its price, the maturity of design is quite appealing too. 
The face of this car is having usual AMG affairs like that vertical grille bars with big Mercedes-Benz signature at the center. Eyes are looking absolutely charming, the LEDs with adaptive function provides you great visibility at night, DRLs are of typical Benz style which also doubles up as indicators. 
Huge vents are there on the lower part of the face which is not functional completely, bumper is not giving the most sporty look but still maintains the aggression on the face along with the bold lines on the hood. 
This what I was saying, with roof down the handsomeness enhances tremendously, the slickness and the curves and bold shoulders making this car a view. AMG wheels adding more character to the side profile of the car. Ground clearance is not that great so you have to be very careful over rough patches but to give you bit relief this car have air suspensions. Chrome line on the side runs all around the car that gives an amazing effect to the car. 

Coming to the power figure of this car, it is decorated by 429bhp of power at 6100rpm and 520Nm of torque at 1800rpm, these figures results in 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds 
These amazing power and torque figures are obtained from 2999cc 6 inline cylinder DOHC M256 Turbocharged I6 + EQ Boost petrol engine. For topping it have 48V mild hybrid system and this battery alone give you 21bhp of power and crazy 250Nm of torque. 
9 speed torque converter is there for you to shift as fast as it can. BS6 emission compliant. 
Mileage you get from this car is around 11.5kmpl and the size of the fuel tank is 66 liters which means in full tank you can travel up to 750-760 km. 

AMG E53 is also an owner of sexy booty, sporty looking tail completes the look nicely. The tail light design is looking great, slight lip spoiler is also there on the boot gate. Sporty diffuser maintaining that aggressive style constant accompained by quad exhaust system although the truth is that, it only have two exhaust outlets the quad setup is just a showcase not more than that, and this kinda fake thing of Benz is not cool at all. 

Jumping to the interior of this car, the first thing you will notice is the quality, Mercedes richness and quality material and the way all the elements are put together is just commendable. The rear seat can be access through front seat by sliding them ahead or directly jumping to the rear seat when roof is down. The rear seats are not having much space tall people would suffer a bit.
 
The front seats are looking comfortable and having great space as well, both the seats are16 way electrically adjustable with lumber support, memory function and ventilated seats. 
Usual Mercedes things are going on the dash like 4 AC vents at the center of the dash below that it get AC controls and other controls, center console consist touchpad and rotatory knob that controls the infotainment system, behind that you get controls for the roof. 

Huge screen style of Mercedes is always fascinating because of its presence and because of its features and smoothness. The right side of the screen is for instrument cluster which is controlled by the touch buttons on the steering wheel. The cluster is full of features and information about the car.

high beam assist, 
7 airbags, 
blind spot detection, 
tyre pressure monitoring system,

hill hold control,

Dimensions of this AMG are like, length 4,953mm,
width 1,852mm,
height 1,447mm,
wheelbase 2,939mm and 
ground clearance is 114mm which is absolutely headache for Indian roads but air suspensions are there for you which work as a balm, and it is quite heavy too it weighs around 1,969kg.

Air suspensions are there to help you take this car over rough patch, and low profile tyres give you great sporty performance and grip but they are impractical at the same time, at front it have 245/40 R19 and at rear it have slightly wider tyres 275/35 R19.


Cabriolets are not the practical cars we all know that it is hard top or it is soft top both are impractical except some but they are fun to drive machines and these cars are not meant for those people who are buying cars for practicality, usability, average or other things, these cars are meant for those who loves cars and love driving and have fat bank account.......
