Under the bonnet Astor is hiding two different petrol engines diesel is not there which is kinda heartbreak for diesel guys.
It comes with 1498cc 4 inline cylinder DOHC VTi-TECH 1.5L petrol engine, it is a front wheel drive car with 5 speed manual transmission and CVT automatic transmission, this engine churns out 108bhp of power at 6000rpm and 144Nm of torque at 4400rpm.

BS6 emission norm is there like always after BS4.

Sorry but right now the answer of most important question, what is the mileage? is not available yet because right now the mileage is not revealed yet. But the size of the fuel tank is quite small to me, 1.3L get 45 litres of tank and 1.5L get 48 litres.
It get alloy wheels with size of 215/55 R17 at both the ends of the car and the best part is that it get disc brakes at the front as well as at the back and the 1.3L get red coloured brake callipers which makes it more interesting view. 
Lights are looking very impressive and it goes with the momentum of the car.

Exterior
It is like the awesomeness is running all over the Astor inside out, it feels superb and premium as well. The design lang is showing sportiness very sportingly.
Face 
Expression, attitude and all the elements are working phenomenally to give it a jaw dropping appearance.
Quite unique, quite new grille look is making it attractive and charming, the grille is showing a kinda magnetic field pattern same where the center point is MG's logo. The grille is giving a bit different looks to it than others. Down the grille another vent is there for better breathing, in higher variants over here you get a radar for ADAS functions to work. The bumper is sharp thus that striking flavour is kicking in.
Talking about the headlamps it get LED projectors with (L) shaped LED DRLs and LED indicators, it also get some crystal decor in the lamps which looks splendid at night. Unfortunately fog lamps are halogen and along with fog lamps it get fake air vents as well which are cleverly finished the glossy black treatment make it difficult to identify that they are fake, you have to touch them.
Sharp lines on the hood giving it sportier appeal and rain sensing wipers are there as well and just below the MG logo you can spot a front camera.

Spoiler is just for appearance, shark fin antenna and massive panaromic sunroof is making this MG more energetic.
Interior
The way dash has been sculpted is just overwhelming everything feels solid, and smooth. Quality levels are on the higher side alike the whole car.
The quality levels are just astounding, it feels very premium, the cabin is ready to serve you comfortable experience and relaxed trips with your family, enjoyable with friends and romantic with your girl or boy friend.
Rear seats
The main party popper of this car is its rear seats, super duper comfortable its like you are sitting on a sofa or a couch, you get plenty of space and the white treatment along with black giving it airy feel which makes the cabin more relaxing. Leg room, knee room, head room and under thigh support all are fab. It get all adjustable headrests including center headrest as well. Rear center arm rest is there with two cup holders, in front of that you get two AC vents with two charging points.
Floor is not flat, hump is there so middle person will always struggle for leg room. Child seats mount is there with child safety lock. Front seats have magzine holders however there is no reading lamp for rear, parcel shelf is there to keep your stuffs. Rear seats ger 60:40 split which enhances the boot space. Windows are large enough to draw plenty of light and if that is not enough for you than panaromic over your head is available.
Recline angle is on the comfortable court, doors get space for 1 litre bottles and handle are on both the side.
Front seats
That sofa character is available at the front too with outstanding quality and two step up amenities. They provide you good support, side bolsters are nicely hugging you and under thigh support is not an issue at all. Driver seat get electric seat adjust however co driver or passenger does not feature this which is kinda sad. Seat belt won't get height adjust function which is not good for this price range. Get center arm rest with some storage space.
Seriously speaking, the black white colour combo is looking excellent meanwhile the 1.3 variants get red and black combo which is giving you sporty vibes.
Dashboard
First of all it get soft touch plastic on the top which gives a boost to its quality and make the car more premium. Just below that a silver kind of thing is embedded which is there in other places as well like nearby AC vents, door openers and some places as well.
Down the dash hard plastic is living but the build quality is good. Surprisingly the coolness of the glove box is missing and the size is also not that mind blowing.
It also get grab rail at center nearby gear lever for co passanger and it also get handle above door too. Whole center console is slightly facing driver for his/her convenience but this thing might tickle the co passanger.
Sitting on the driver side, the three spoke multi function flat bottom steering wheel is there to welcome you, the wheel feels great in hands, on the left side it get controls for call, volume and infotainment system on the right it get buttons to explore the instrument cluster and for enabling voice command.
Behind this wheel you get knobs on both the side as usual, on the left you get light and indicator controls and on the right you have wiper and washer control and on the left you also get knob for cruise control. Unfortunately the steering wheel only get tilt or height adjustment not reach.
Now coming to the center, first of all get a toy kind of things stick to your dash who is doing many things like wishing you, cracking jokes and all. You can turn this thing off and on from settings.
Below that you get an infotainment system which is loaded with features, you can control many things even AC as well, yes, Astor won't get any physical controls for AC thus it demands some time to get use to. The graphics are nice and animation is also impressive and touch response is also quick there is no lag nothing.
You get physical buttons below infotainment system, over here you get home button, front & rear defogger controls, volume controls and fan controls.
You get some space with two USB ports and one 12V power outlet. Nearby gear lever hill descent control, traction control and 360 camera buttons are lying. The car also features electronic parking brake in top variants and manual in lower variants.
On the right hand side of steering wheel, ORVMs adjustment controls and headlamps leveler. And on the left start stop button is present.
Talking about the instrument cluster it get fully digital cluster where you get speedometer on right and tachometer on the left along with fuel meter and temperature meter respectively. At the center you get all the information about the vehicle which you can explore by using buttons on the steering wheel.
Boot
Space is sufficient for a family trip, loading lips is not that high too, space saver spare wheel is living beneath the mat along with tools and the way of opening boot is very intersting.
At the end......my opinion is that it is an amazing car with style, looks and comfort and it got features as well and it is also run by powerful engine meanwhile some things are missing like seat height adjust, reading lamps at rear and one thing which is that the ADAS features are optional.
Other than this the car is phenomenal in terms of quality and comfort, everything is just incredible.....just incredible.
