What? an electric Mustang no way! | Mustang Mach E | HighRPM

Ford Mustang Mach E an electric Mustang is a shock for enthusiast.....!

We all know Ford Mustang the dream of many, the history in itself, the adrenaline pumper, the swagger, the fashion in its own, the trend former and the emotion, yes, that Mustang became SUV and on top of that to spoiler the name it became electric, seriously. That lion whose roar was a able to shake you from top bottom is now mute no.  

Mustang Mach E is the sport electric SUV by Ford, although the name is Mustang but it is just for attention we all know that too at least I believe so, and if it is not still it won't have that character that Mustang used to have. But this name Mustang is so feel good word to all the car lovers it is hard to express, those ponies were symbol of authentic driving pleasure

Coming back to this so called Mustang, the looks are cool enough to turn public head, it looks pretty sporty as well and being an electric those EV styling are plenty in number but that attitude which was there on ICE Mustang is missing completely. 

Mustang Mach E price....

Right now this car is not in India and I don't think so that it is ever going to launch in India because Ford wrapped its tent from Indian soil permanently, meanwhile the in USA the price of this so called Mustang is $46,895 and it goes up to $69,375, it's on the expensive side because of its name. 

The power and the performance of Mustang Mach E

So, first of all this machine is available in two battery packs one is 70 kWh battery which is standard and the other one is extended-range 91 kWh. 
Mustang Mach E is available as RWD and AWD version. 
Standard versions get 70 kWh battery which gives you 346 max power and 580.3Nm of torque on the other hand the 91 kWh battery pack which is known as performance models or GT models churns out 480 hp of max power and crazy torque of 859.6Nm (860Nm).

These mind blowing power and torque figures of performance version results zero to 60mph in just 3.5 seconds which is fast indeed and make this SUV one of the fastest SUV in the market.

What is the range of Mustang Mach E?

Ford claims the range between 360km to 502km. This is company claimed range it may differ in real world where multiple things work against the range or mileage of vehicles. In real world it might return around 400-450km in full full charge. 

How long does it take to charge a Mustang Mach E?

So, the fast DC charger can juice up your Mustang Mach E up to 80% from 10% in just 40-45 minutes this is the case with the performance version where you have bigger battery pack. And the standard version take less time to juice up 80%, it can do this in just 35 minutes. 
Meanwhile, the home charger you get with the car would not be the fast one so it will take bit more to charge you electric Mustang, at home it might take up to 10 hours to fully charge your car, and with the 240 volt charger add 4 more hours.

Design of this Mustang is pretty cool but not like our beloved real muscular Mustang!


In terms of appearance this Mustang Mach E is looking astounding and having all those sporty elements which are complementing the overall style of the car and those EV effects are there as well, of course they have to be there.
Face
Without grille and stuff Mustang is looking kinda incomplete but to give it a kick it got slight vent like think around the running pony. Below the face at bumper area it got vents which open and closes whenever battery need to cool and it is very weird to see a Mustang with such good ground clearance. 
The headlamps are very slim thus the sharp look coming out very clearly. Angry lines on the hood giving it an aggression that blend with the design lang. 

Side 
The best thing about the side of this car is the style of opening the doors, you won't be able to see any door handles not even the flash one, it got a touch button on the B pillar you touch that button and the door pops out and you can lock/unlock the door with a password that can be entered on the B pillar.

Other than this the design is also very clever, to give it a sloping roof line they have made the shoulder flowing down but to give you good amount of head room at the back seat of the car they haven't gave that sloping effect to the main roof. Alike other EVs it won't have that futuristic looking wheels it got simple sporty looking alloy design that looks very cool. 

Tail 
To stand on the name they have maintained that tail light design. Rear wiper, washer all the SUV bits are present along with a spoiler. It is very weird to see the back of the Mustang without exhaust outlets. 
Coming to the interior first time Mustang have proper space and room for both front & rear passenger. The car is having luxury stuffs as well to give it a nice atmosphere in the cabin. Rear seats are having good amount of space and comfort as well, coming to the front row you'll get seats which are electrically adjustable. 

The dash is the main highlight of the interior, if you are a rival of Tesla you must have a freaking humongous infotainment system and if it is vertically screwed it would add more feel of rivalry. This screen is the mind of this car everything is here and being a Mustang the quality of screen and whole interior is unquestionable. There is physical volume rotatory know integrated at the center at the bottom of the screen. 
Slick and instrument cluster is there behind the three spoke multifunction steering wheel which manually adjustable for both height and reach.

Features that are making this Mustang quite interesting.

  • It got something which is known as Ford BlueCruise which a auto pilot driving mode that give you hand free experience of driving. 
  • Remote key (Phone lock/unlock)
  • It have drive modes as well the Unbridled and Engage or Whisper, these modes adjusts the interior light, sound and driving dynamics.
  • And having all the ADAS features that make things more smooth and flawless.



It is seriously very hard to digest that Mustang turning into an electric machine, although this not the ICE Mustang but Ford is working on Mustang EV and which will be a heart attack for all the lovers.
Mustang is not just a car it's an emotion, it is a love of many............
