Hilux is now in the market with price tag of 34 lakh + | Price, Power, Mileage Features | HighRPM

 The hype that has been created by Toyota is now taking more pace after the launch of their new pickup truck in the nation, the new Toyota Hilux. 

Hilux came out from the curtains with its solid, tough, fearless and handsome personality that instantly caught nation's eye thus Hilux grab the attention easily. The car or the truck whatever you wanna call it, it has a great attitude in its body language that shows the eagerness to hit the adventure drives. 

Due to its 2.7L diesel engine which pumps out nice power and mind blowing torque that allow you to extract some adrenaline pumping trips and some no direction long trips. 

Hilux landed on the price slab that says, starting price 33.99 lakh and the top cost 36.80 lakh, ex showroom. It comes in two variants with both manual and automatic transmission with diesel engine.

There is only one diesel engine option is available, 2755cc 4 inline cylinder turbocharged diesel engine this engine gives you 201bhp of power at 3000rpm and amazing 500Nm of torque at 1600rpm in automatic variant but the torque get reduced in manual variant comes down by 80Nm result 420Nm at 1600rpm. This is a 4×4 vehicle with BS6 emission compliant.

The mileage of the car is not known right now but it has a huge belly of 80 litres, fuel tank capacity. 

It comes with disc brakes at front as well as at the back, being an extreme off roader it needs that kind of wheels as well and Toyota gave that too, it run of 265/60 R18 and it lower variants it faced cost cutting and get 265/65 R17 and this cost cutting has been done to a car which cost around 34 lakh, that's insane business Toyota.

Exterior 

The looks of this is so freaking mesmerizing nah! can't tell you. Toughness of engine and its capabilities are clearly visible on its exterior. 

Face 

That gallant attitude is popping out from the facial expressions. Toyota have given some real tough features to the front end of the car. Broad grille which is surrounded by the thick chrome bar, which is also connected to the headlamps.

It get LED headlamps in just top end with DRLs and the whole setup is looking fab. But in lower variants it get halogen lamps and the base variant of this car cost around 39-40 lakh on road, Toyota this cost cutting is out of box.

Lower down, LED fog lamps are available in chrome housing. Bumper is designed in that way that it can climb some tough areas without much concern. Hood get some lines which are bringing sportier touch to Hilux. Rain sensing wipers are absent (wildest dreams), normal wipers are there along with washer. ORVMs are full of chrome with indicators embedded. 

Side profile 

From side the real charm of this machine kicks in, the length is just mouth opening, due to its bulky and heavy body it captures everyone on the road.

The wheels are looking great and suspension travel is also great which allows the enthusiast to go wherever he or she want to. The level of cost cutting is on its peak, in lower variants you get 17 inch wheels which is cleverly hiden by increasing the tyre profile. 

Window area is large enough to bring good amount of light in the cabin, the windows are surrounded by fin chrome line from one side. 

The side step is there which makes entry and exit pretty much easy. 

Rear end 

The back of the car is very interesting, you get a door to open the way to that massive loading bay. Here you get parking sensors, parking camera as well. Rear wind screen get defogger and high mounted spot lamp. LED tail lights are looking amazing and the design is also fab however the indicators are not LED, bulbs are there. 

Loading bay 

Humongous bay is there which makes this vehicle insanely practical. The loading capacity of this bay is 470kg which means you can carry you dirt bikes and track bikes as well. Brand is not giving you anything on the bay, but accessories have alot of stuffs to make this vehicle more adventurous. You can modify you car's back as you wish because market offer you bunch of options to customise this thing. 

Interior 

The cabin is great, the premium feeling is definitely there, the whole scenario is not much different from Toyota Fortuner. The vibes inside the cabin is very lavish indeed. 

Rear seats

At rear you get all the amenities like power windows, center arm rest, cup holders, AC vents and adjustable headrests too. Rear seem to be roomy, although the recline angle of the seats is not that comfy which might effect in long trips.

Front seats 

The seats are here with more support and comfort, it get electric seat adjust for drive only and i.e., only in end, in lower variants it get manual adjustments. Get center arm rest with some storage space. 

 

Dashboard

Dashboard is pretty intersting alike Toyota Fortuner. It comes with two glove boxes and the top one is cooled. Silver kinda treatment is present nearby side AC vents and on the the dash, this treatment is providing more flavour to the dash. 

At the center you get AC vents along with digital clock. 8 inch infotainment system is there which full of features but Toyota is not offering Tyre Pressure Monitoring System but they are not that cruel they have kept TPMS in accessories. Dual zone AC control two cup holders, gear level and manual hand brake. 

Steering wheel and instrument cluster 

Get the same steering which is available in Fortuner, media and call controls are embedded as usual but cruise control is not there separate knob is given by the brand. 

Same analogue digital cluster as we have seen in Fortuner, on the left side it get tachometer and at the right speedometer is there and both are analogue and digital display at the center which shows you bunch of info and you can explore this display by button available on the steering wheel. 

Talking about the car, Hilux is a perfect pickup truck for families, the Hilux is looking fabulous from every angle. There are some points which left me in disappointment. The crazy cost cutting by Toyota is just insane, they have given halogen lamps to starting model and there are other things as well which is not there in starting model.
