The king of its time Yezdi once again came back to the ground with Roadster, Scrambler and Adventure | Price, Power, Mileage, Features | HighRPM

 Nostalgic.....

After rocking the European and other markets Jawa entered India in 1960 where they shook hand with a Mysore based company Ideal Jawa for production & distribution and in 1973 they formed Yezdi the brand which literally ruled the Indian roads because of its energetic motorcycles which were love of many youngster across the nation.

The history of Yezdi is very rich they faced immense success, their bikes were conquering the road along with racing seasons too. The Yezdi Roadking and many other were dictator of that time.

But these bikes were powered by 2 stroke engine which causes more pollution than 4 and manufacturers like Yamha and Honda joined Indian market with bikes which were more fuel efficient and lighter than Yezdi thus Yezdi lost its grip on the market.

But that Yezdi just came back in the business with their three new models, the Yezdi Roadster, Scrambler and Adventure. In this blog post I'm going to talk about the Adventure because the most interesting thing about this Adventure is that it is going stand against the king of this segment, the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Yezdi Adventure is looking fearless, the physique is pretty impressive too  It get 334cc single cylinder engine with 6 speed manual transmission.

Yezdi Adventure price starts at 2.09 lakh which goes up to 2.18 lakh, ex showroom, the bike is available only in one variant but this price difference is because of colour options, three options are there,

  • Yezdi Adventure slick silver.....2.09 lakh
  • Yezdi Adventure Mambo black.....2.11 lakh
  • Yezdi Adventure Ranger Camo.....2.18 lakh

The bike pull its power from 334cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine with 81mm & 65mm of bore and Stroke respectively and compression ratio of 11:1, it is BS6 emission compliant with 6 speed manual transmission.

This engine pumps out power of 29.7bhp at 8000rpm and torque of 30Nm (29.9Nm) at 6500rpm.

These are the features Yezdi Adventure comes with.

  • Dual channel ABS
  • Three ABS levels
    • Rain
    • Road
    • Off road
  • Digital instrument cluster
  • Phone connectivity
  • Navigation
  • Hazard light
  • Odometer
  • Twin tripmeters
  • Gear position indicator
  • Gear change indicator
  • Low fuel warning
  • Low oil warning
  • Time
  • Tachometer
  • Speed
  • Average fuel

Brand haven't revealed the fuel economy of the bike meanwhile the size of the fuel tank is 15.5 litres which is a great capacity for adventure motorcycle.

90/90 21 tyre at front make off road an easy thing whereas 130/80 17 at the back provide you good grip, however the bike won't get tubeless tyre. Disc brakes are at both the ends of the bike 320mm rotor at front and 240mm at back with dual channel ABS along with three ABS settings or you can say level (Road, Rain & Off road).

It get all LED lights which is a great thing.

Headlamp- LED
Tail light- LED
Blinkers- LED

Dimensions

Wheelbase- 1,465m
Ground clearance- 220mm
Seat height- 815mm

Length, width, height are not revealed by Yezdi, why, don't know.

Looks

Being an adventure machine vehicle need a personality which can withstand any terrain and Yezdi have done a great job, it have that physique that attitude in its body language.

Front

To give it the retro kind of appeal Yezdi have given it a round shaped headlamp with LED inside accompanied by small round blinkers which are LEDs as well. It get small visor which is non adjustable the size of this visor is quite small to me. The beak at front adding more adventurous vibes to the bike. It get up side down forks with nice suspension travel and big 21inch tyre.

Side

From side it look pretty much similar to its rival, the Himalayan. All those adventure bikes stuffs are present, ground clearance is plenty which allow rider to take this bike anywhere, he or she wish without much concern. Split step up seat with seat height of 815mm which is quite high for short riders. The bike get crash bars factory fitted and the bars are ready to install side bags and other accessories. Exhaust outlets is travelling from the bottom but takes up its head at the end of the pipe.

Rear
130 section tyre won't get hugger but it have a tail tidy with is holding small round tail light along with small round blinkers. Huge grab rail which is perfect for installing top and side boxes.

Instrument cluster
Firstly, the cluster is unit is adjustable means you can adjust its viewing angle as per you convenience. All digital unit with two circular screens left one is for telling you, speed, time, gear, fuel, RPM, average, range and ither important things and right one is for turn by trun navigation.

Overall, the bike is full of zest with some cool things but its going to fight against Himalayan so its going to be super intersting for us to see how Yezdi stand and it going to be tough for Yezdi to make its own identity.
This is the new 2022 Yezdi Adventure.......
