Force Gurkha has been launched, no doubt that it is one of the best off roader but..... | Price, Power, Mileage Features | HighRPM

Force Motors took out their devil whose habitat is not cities, smooth road don't entertain him, fearlessly move with a tough smile on face that challenge the challenge, boldness & attitude both are in DNA and capable to conquer any terrain you offer I'm talking about the new 2021 Force Gurkha. The name itself tell you about how powerful, how gallant this vehicle is.

The design of this machine is absolutely astounding indeed, the look speak about its behaviour and nature. The rough & tough appearance giving an incredible presence on the road.

Cabin of Gurkha is pretty simple it won't have much fancy stuffs, have good amount of room and visibility.

Gurkha is powered by 2.6L diesel engine that churns out good amount of power and amazing amount of torque.

Force Gurkha came out with the price tag of 13.59 lakh, the off roader is only available in one diesel manual variant,

Force Gurkha 2.6......13.59 lakh        (M)

The Gurkha get its power from 2596cc 4 inline cylinder DOHC F M 2.6 CR CD turbocharged diesel powerhouse which is available to supply 90bhp of power at 3500rpm and 250Nm of torque at 1400rpm that too early, its a 4×4×4 vehicle which means you can steer all the four wheels for buttery smooth off road handling, it get 5 manual gears and BS6 emission norm.

The new Gurkha comes with these features and safety

  • 2 airbags
  • ABS
  • EBD
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system
  • Seat belt warning
  • Manual differential lock (both axles)
  • Engine immobilizer
  • Center lock
  • Manually adjustable ORVMs
  • Apple car play
  • Android auto connect
  • 4 wheel drive
  • Speed sensing door lock
  • Child safety lock
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Manual AC
Unfortunately the Gurkha won't have a big list of features even many essential features of nowadays are not there which is kind of shocking, it won't get rear parking camera, ESP, child seat mount, electrically ORVMs, I know that Gurkha is that vehicle which is more oriented towards off roading but still these features are basic which are missing.

The mileage of this beast is not available but it get a giant fuel tank of 63L.

It rolled out from the factory with disc brakes at front along with 245/70 R16 tyres at both the end but at the back it get drum brake setting. For this kinda machine 16 inch tyres are not enough in opinion at least 18 inchers could have been better.

One nice thing about the Gurkha is that it comes with LED headlights but other lights are halogen.
Headlamps- LED
Tail lights- Halogen
Fog lamps Halogen
DRLs- LED
Indicators- Halogen

Size of this beast
Length- 4.116m
Width- 1.812m
Height- 2.075m
Wheelbase- 2.4m

Exterior
What a dashing personality Gurkha have, that aggression on the face, that attitude, that great body language everything make this an excellent looking vehicle with some real charming things. It's a born bad boy.

Face, very impressive and matured design front have. First of all, there is no air intake at the front yes, that's true, to increase the water crossing or you can say water wading ability (700mm) thus this is kinda all terrain even in water too. It get a black coloured bumper with fog lamps embedded. The ground clearance is phenomenal thus it can climb anywhere without much worry, so, the air intake is coming out from the side of the car and climbing over A pillar and ends at the top of it and from here it pulls air in for combustion.
The grille is covered and get big Gurkha badging. Features round shaped headlamps with DRL surrounding. The indicators are on the the hood area. Simple square shape ORVMs which are manually adjustable from outside not even that old school knob is not available and I think at this price point this electric adjust is not a big thing.

Side profile, the length of the car is not eye widing but height is. The black cladding which starts as a bumper from the front continue at the side as well. The ground clearance is fantastic thus it get side steps for easy entry and exit. It's a three door SUV, so to access the rear seats you have to make an entry from back of the car. The window area is impressively huge no doubt but one thing which I hate is that the rear windows are fixed they are not openable still the cabin is airy but I know some people who feel claustrophobic in this type of setting even being a car guy I feel so too. Suprising the roof rails are not standard it's a part of accessories and Force offering good numbers accessories for Gurkha, alloy wheels are not standard they are also part of accessories that's next level of cost cutting.

Rear end, you get a spare wheel bolted on the boot goot which is all a gate for rear seats. There is no rear wiper and defogger and this is a proper off roading SUV, how sarcastic is this. Tail lights are halogen unit with simple design. It also get a step for easy rear seat access. Diffuser is looking very busy but adding nice punch to the looks.

There is a very interesting things Force have done is the badging of Gurkha along with Kukri (kind of knife used by Gurkha Soldiers). "Gurkha Soldiers don't need any intro but they are know for their unreal bravery and courage".

Interior
Cabin of the Gurkha is very simple and spacious, have all the basic things not complicated at all.

Rear seats, it get two caption seats with foldable arm rests separate for each and best thing is that you can recliner the seats too to some extent. But there is no cup holders and rear AC vents and most importantly the windows are not openable. However, you have good amount of space and room.

Front seats, seats are very basic with all basic elements. Seats get adjustable headrests but no armrest is available here as well. Manually adjustable seats with good amount of support.

Dashboard, basic design but very nicely done by the Force. You get four round shaped AC vents, at the middle of the dash it get touchscreen infotainment system which have plenty of features including apple car play and android auto connect. Below that you get fog light control and hazard light switch, then manual AC controls are there following by 12V socket.
Now, too many things are going on nearby gear level, like the differential lock knobs are there, gear knob, 4 wheel drive selector, manual hand brake, cup holders, front power window controls and some storage.

Steering and Instrument cluster, I love the fact that it get steering adjustment for height as well as reach. The three spoke steering wheel is power assisted but not a multi function steering no buttons are embedded in it other than horn.
Coming to the instrument cluster it is also very simple and basic digital analogue unit, on the left side you get tachometer with 5000rpm of limit means the vehicle won't go any further. On the right the speedometer is there. At the center of the cluster it get a small digital display which shows you temperature, fuel gauge, time, odometer and tripmeter.

Ok, so, the Gurkha is all about off roading and adventure, because it have amazing amount of potential for off road stuffs but if you are think that it will give you some comfortable drive then you have think twice because it misses out many features which are easily available in this price point. But ya, if you are a person who love no roads then definitely this is for you.
This is the new 2021, off road animal by Force, the Force Gurkha.............
