Triumph Trident 660 3 cylinder bike or Honda CB650R 4 cylinder motorcycle | HighRPM

Recently two street fighters came into the market in 600cc segment, the fighters are looking lit from every angle. Both the bike are not less than another in any aspect, the looks, the features, the power everything of these bikes are strong points which helps them to attract lots of people and win as much heart as possible. These two bikes are none other than Honda CB650R and Triumph Trident 660

CB650R and Trident 660 super cool looking bikes with an attitude which give them such an engaging personality. These two have everything you expect from a 600cc bike but the main question is which one is best and which one, one should choose?

Price

Honda CB650R- 8.68 lakh
Triumph Trident 660- 6.95 lakh
Ex-showroom.....
The difference of price between these two, two wheelers is huge and Trident's price is very low compare to CB650R.
However, the Honda CB650R comes with 4 cylinders and Trident comes with 3 cylinders, so we should keep this thing in our mind, lets ride ahead.

Engine Power and Performance

Honda CB650R- 648.7cc 4 cylinder engine, chain drive, fuel injected, BS6, 6 speed manual transmission.

Triumph Trident 660- 660cc 3 inline cylinder engine with liquid cooled, chain drive, fuel injected, BS6, 6 speed manual
Power- 80bhp 10250rpm

There is not much power difference but the amount of torque Triumph giving out and giving out much faster than CB650R. Bigger engine working aggressively than 4 cylinders.

Self cancelling blinkers     (Trident)
Bluetooth connectivity     (Trident)
Navigation     (Trident)

Honda have a very interesting torque control feature but it misses out some important features which are necessary for this price like riding modes, bluetooth connectivity, navigation. Trident comes with two riding modes rain & road. It means Trident 660 comes with more features.

Mileage and Fuel tank

Mileage of both the bikes are not yet available so we not consider mileage point.
Fuel tank,
Honda CB650R- 15.4L
Triumph Trident 660- 14L

Tyres and Brakes

Honda CB650R- Front- 120/70 ZR17 | 310mm Dual
                              Rear- 180/55 ZR17 | 240mm
Triumph Trident 660- Front- 120/70 R17 | 310mm Dual
                                         Rear- 180/55 R17 | 255mm

Lights

Honda CB650R- Headlight- LED
                             Tail light- LED
                             Blinkers- LED
                             DRLs- LED
Triumph Trident 660- Headlight- LED
                                         Tail light- LED
                                         Blinkers- LED
                                         DRLs- LED

Both are full of LEDs, but Triumph launched the new features, self cancelling blinkers like in cars.

Dimensions

Honda CB650R- Length- 2.12m
                            Width- 78.4cm
                            Height- 1.07m
                            Wheelbase- 1.44m
                            Ground clearance- 14.8cm
                            Seat height- 63.5cm
Triumph Trident 660- Length- 2.02m
                                        Width- 79cm
                                        Height- 1.08m
                                        Wheelbase- 1.40m
                                        Seat height- 80.5cm

There is not much difference in dimensions but seat height of CB650R is more convenient for short riders as well as tall on the other hand Trident's seat is bit on the higher side.

At the end both the bike are super cool and full of power and features but as we have seen the torque output is more in Triumph than Honda and it peak kicks in faster as well. Honda also misses out some very important features but have an interesting thing too. Seriously speaking Honda is expensive.
