Recently launched Jaguar I Pace stand against Mercedes Benz EQC, now which is better than one other | HighRPM

Jaguar launched the I Pace, the first luxury electric vehicle from JLR. The car is standing on crore podium with another luxurious electric SUV from German, the Mercedes Benz EQC. Both the wheelers are full of drama, power and incredible battery. These two cars have everything you expect from a luxury car.

I Pace and EQC both are gorgeous, way of styling & designing and the level of detailing everything is just like hangover won't pull out from your mind easily.

Being a luxury cars the cabin is overflowing with luxurious and premium water which wets you completely and marinate you in luxury.

Terms of performance no one is less than another their powerful batteries help them to cover more and more distance.

Now the thing is both the cars are great but which one literally killing the market and giving you the finest experience❓

Price

Mercedes Benz EQC- 1.04 crore

Jaguar I Pace- 1.06 - 1.12 crore

The German is bit less costly than Indian, now the thing is that price is one of the most important factor and here the Benz is on the less pricey side.

Battery and power

Mercedes Benz EQC- 80 kWh lithium ion 405 volt battery.

Power- 402.3bhp

Torque- 760Nm, AWD, the motors it have is 2 asynchronous three-phase AC motors.

Jaguar I Pace- 90kWh lithium ion battery

power- 394bhp

torque- 696Nm, AWD, automatic.

The I Pace is the owner of greater power but sadly its powerful battery serve lesser power than Benz. The difference is not much but still the EQC has more power and torque.

Safety and Features

9 Airbags (EQC) / 6 Airbags (I Pace)

ABS (Both)

EBD (Both)

ESP (Both)

Traction control. (Both)

Brake assist (Both)

Hill hold control (Both)

Engine immobilizer (Both)

Adaptive cruise control (Both)

3 zone automatic climate control AC (EQC) / 2 zone automatic climate control AC (I Pace)

Seat belt warning (Both)

Electrical seat adjust (14 ways) (EQC) / (16 ways) (I Pace) (Front only)

360 camera view (Both)

Parking camera with adaptive guidelines (Both)

Parking sensors (F&R) (Both)

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (Both)

3 point seat belts (Both)

Child safety lock (Both)

Child seat mount (Both)

Memory seats (F) (Both)

Speed sensing door (Both)

Ventilated seats (Heated) (EQC) / (Heated & cooled) (I Pace)

Voice control (Both)

Wireless charging (Both)

Front & side impact beam (Both)

Android auto connect (Both)

Apple car play (Both)

Both cars are fully of features have every essential and important stuffs but still I think EQC comes with 9 airbags means more safety and it also have 3 zone AC. Meanwhile, I Pace have more electric seat adjust ways than Benz and ventilation option is better than EQC.

Now as far I know that safety matters more and 9 airbags have more value.

Range and Charging time

Mercedes Benz EQC- Range- 460-464kms (full charge)

Charging time- 21 hours if you charge it by 220V

1.5 hour if you charge it by 440V

Jaguar I Pace- Range,- 470km

Charging time- 14 hours with 7.4 kW charger

2 hours with 50kW fast charger

                                                         4 hours with 25kW charger.

Range is almost same but charging time in EQC with normal charger is very bad on the other hand I Pace got a charging speed.

Tyres and Brakes

Mercedes Benz EQC- Tyres- 285/50 R20 (F&R)

                                          Brakes- Ventilated disc (F&R)

Jaguar I Pace- Tyres- 255/55 R19 (F&R)

                            Brakes- Ventilated disc (F&R)

EQC wheels are bigger than Jag but Jag have more practical tyre profile.

Lights

Mercedes Benz EQC- All LED setup with ambient lights.

Jaguar I Pace- All LED setup with ambient lights.

Dimensions

Mercedes Benz EQC- Length- 4,762mm

                                          Width- 1,884mm

                                          Height- 1,624mm

                                          Wheelbase- 2,873mm

                                          Ground clearance- 142mm

Jaguar I Pace- Length- 4,682mm

                             Width- 2,139mm

                             Height- 1,566mm

                             Wheelbase- 2,990mm

                             Ground clearance-142mm-230mm

Now, Jaguar has a very interesting feature which is extremely usefull but that is missing in EQC that features is ride height adjust, I Pace have air suspensions thanks to them you get freedom to adjust your ground clearance.

Other than that, EQC is lengthy and taller but wheelbase and width is in Jaguar court. Keep this thing in mind that the difference is not that big.

These SUV have everything you want from a luxury electric vehicle so it's going to be super confusing.......
