Yesterday Renault launched the Kiger and after the launch the market started heating up because Renault have done something crazy, they sparkle some premium features on Kiger and the price is also on the softer side. The looks, features and the price come together and gives a very nice start to Kiger. The looks is also very nice and there are some party poppers as well which definitely amaze you by there presence.

Kiger is a feature loaded machine which looks cool and sporty as well. In terms of safety Renault jump two steps ahead from its rivals. The sharp and the sporty just feel stunning and hits the bulls eye. Renault offers Kiger is just petrol engine, manual, AMT and CVT are available, two engines are there one is normal and the another one is turbocharged.

The starting price of Renault Kiger is 5.45 lakhs and the top model cost 9.72 lakhs.

The car comes in only petrol engine with both manual, AMT and CVT, diesel is not there, it is available in two engines as well.

It is powered by 999cc 3 inline cylinder DOHC 1.0L petrol engine which churns out 71bhp of power at 6250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3500rpm, FWD, BS6.

1.0 Turbo

It have 999cc 3 inline cylinder DOHC 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine and the output from this engine is just fantastic, 99bhp of power at 5000rpm and 160Nm of torque at just 2800rpm, FWD, BS6.

CVT- The automatic turbo variants produces same amount of power but torque is 152Nm at 2200rpm.

Exterior

Appearance of Kiger is very nice gives you kinda premium feel. You can feel aggressive styling of the Kiger it have that aura which makes it attractive and stylish at the same time.

Front face

Face is pretty similar to its sibling Kwid but more aggression and attitude is clearly visible. The grille of Kiger is similar to Kwid with chrome treatment, making it more sportier. The headlamps are absolutely gorgeous, they are simple but the elegance and the sharpness merging greatly it get three LED square type which makes the lamps very powerful. The DRLs are placed higher than head light, the DRLs are integrating with grille. Bumper is nicely designed increases the aerodynamic efficiency.

Side profile

Length of the Kiger is almost 4m means more space in the Kiger. The ground clearance is just mind blowing no worry (Hakuna Matata) on bad roads. Nicely designed alloy wheels and the tyre size is also good and the good news is it get ABS and EBD. Black cladding on the doors, functional roof rails are there and the windows are also large enough.

Back side

The back side of the car looks great indeed, the muscular look. The tail lights are quite similar to what we have seen in Honda Civic, definitely looks nice attractive. The diffuser is painted in sliver, boldness increases. The best thing is the rear spoiler, it looks dope, spoiler is greatly designed and it have some texture on it as well to give it more kick and punch.

Kiger comes in dual tone option where the colour kn the body and colour on the roof are different. Sunroof is absent, shark fin antenna is present.

Interior

The cabin is spacious and feel high in quality, the fit finish and the material used by Renault all working greatly creating an awesome environment inside the car.

Rear seats, you get proper space at rear, leg room, knee room, head room and under thigh is also good. It get rear arm rest and AC vents, because of big windows it make cabin airy.

Front seats, nice amount of support front seats gives you. The cushioning level and the quality of all seats are just amazing. Arm rest is also available with storage.

Dashboard, the dashboard is very impressive, it get two glove boxes like earlier Kwid. The infotainment system is full of features and the graphics are also very nice, the system is responsive and great to use.

The fit finish is just jaw dropping, the knobs and switch feel premium in touch, wireless charging, gear knob wrapped in leather just in the right hand side you get a rotatory knob by which you can switch driving modes, (Eco, Normal and Sport). The behind gear knob it get BMW style cover for storage space.

Steering is three spoked with common functions, the another fabulous thing in Kiger is that freaking instrument cluster damn it is so cool and keeping price in mind it feel scintillating.

This is something else, this kind of cluster is only available in high end car but Renault Kiger is awesome. The kind of graphics and quality it have is mind numbing. You get fully digital cluster, where you can see tachometer, speedometer, left side you get temperature meter, right side it get fuel meter. Literally Renault raised the bar to another level.
