The 42 is the machine where you sit on past but ride present. This Jawa have power and lots of fun. The output of 293cc is quite good, put a big smile on your face and flawlessly pulls.

The tough appearance gives it nice presence on road make people stare at it. Three variants are available BS6 standard.

Looks

The retro aroma is so hard but the modernize touch present 42 in a different way with greatness of Jawa's engineering. The 42 is a great look motorcycle which definitely force you to love it.

From the front, the round head light is an halogen unit and this thing is not appreciating because paying 1.63 lakhs+ and geeting halogen is not good. Round shaped blinkers are there giving it nice appearance. Front suspensions are partly coloured in black and silver.

Side profile of 42 is quite nice, the length is good two people on the bike will be very comfortable seat is also nicely cushioned, ut get single piece seat, pillion grab rail is not very useful although it get pillion grab strap which is again inconvenient. The fuel tank is bike in size with Jawa logo on it, you can see the 293cc engine clearly which makes it more attractive. Now here is the cost cutting you only get alloy wheels in top variant (2.1) not in the base and mind. It get beautiful exhaust (twin)  and nice foot pegs. Dual spring suspensions are there on either side and ground clearance is also sufficient.

From the rear the tail lamp, twin exhausts, wheel and blinkers all makes the rear very nice.

It get small rounded instrument cluster not at the center, slightly shifted to right side. Now we all know that Jawa's cluster is bit different from other, like the speedometer and the fuel gauge which tells you fuel level in form of fraction (1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4) bit maths needed. You get small oval shape digital display as well where you can see odo and tripmeter.
