Mahindra Thar price is now more pocket friendly than before, Mahindra Thar 2WD | HighRPM

Mahindra Thar

Mahindra Thar the car of dreams now, the car that nowadays, almost, everyone is thinking about and the car which give you feel of some really expensive car (Wrangler), that Thar got a new update in 2023 which also reduced the price of this vehicle.
Mahindra introduced the new 2WD or you can say RWD Thar in the beginning of this year, this update is a reason of many new smiles because the price of the car has been reduced to some extend.

Mahindra Thar price.....

The price of the Thar is now kinda pocket friendly, you can drive Thar to your home is some sub compart SUV price. The starting price of the Mahindra Thar is 9.99 lakh and the top model cost is 16.49 lakh, this is the ex showroom price.
It is available in both petrol and diesel variants with both hard and soft top, in this list of variants you have 3 RWD variants with starting price of 9.99 lakh which goes up to 13.49 lakh.

Mahindra Thar On road price

If we talk about the on road price of Thar in Delhi, it starts at 11.98 lakh which goes up to 18.66 lakh.

Mahindra Thar is powered by.....

So, the Thar is available is engines, where you have choice between 2 diesel engines and 1 petrol engine.
  • 1.5L diesel engine
1497cc 4 inline cylinder DOHC D117 CRDe turbocharged diesel engine, this engine churns out 117bhp of power at 3500 rpm and 300Nm of torque at 1750rpm, comes with 6 speed manual transmission and BS6 emission norm.
This diesel engine only powers the RWD variants of Thar.
  • 2.2L diesel engine
2184cc 4 inline cylinder DOHC I4 mHawk 130 turbocharged diesel engine that produces 130bhp of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque at 1600rpm, it is available in both 6 speed manual and 6 speed torque converter automatic transmission.
  • 2.0L petrol engine
1997cc 4 inline cylinder DOHC I4 mStallion 150 TGDi turbocharged engine, this one produces 150bhp of power at 5000rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1500rpm available in both manual and automatic transmission.

Mahindra Thar mileage

These mileage figures are ARAI claimed which means in real world these numbers are hard get because of many factors like, your driving style, road condition, weather, traffic and other factors.
So, diesel (2.2L) gives you 15.2kmpl (manual) and 9kmpl (auto) and on the other hand from petrol you can extract 15.2kmpl from both manual and auto.
And the size of the fuel tank is 57 liters and it is same across all the variants of Thar.

Exterior & interior of Mahindra Thar

Talking about the design, it won't have any change, the looks are still same no change is there. That attitude appearance is still in effect and with that amazing physique the Thar is maintaining the swag for which Thar is famous for. Bold lines, rough & tough vibes and fearless body features giving you the confidence to take this beast anywhere you want.
The only change you will notice on RWD Thar is that it won't have that 4*4 badging other than that you can't tell the difference between AWD and RWD.

Coming to the interior, here as well the cabin is same as before no change are there except removal of 4*4 lever instead of that the 2WD gets some space to keep your small items, Thar is focusing on practicality. Comfortable seats are there with nice support and great for long tours. Rear seats are not the best place to be in, the 3 door Thar provides you not the best experience at the back. First of all, it might be claustrophobic for some people because of all black cabin and absence of openable windows.

In think by releasing this RWD variants Mahindra did a great because there are many people who wanna buy this vehicle but their pocket won't allow them to do that, with this version some people would bring their love home....
