Duke 390 The 3rd generation of the KTM 390 Duke is literally shaking the market with its sharp design which is now more edgy than before, making this bike more attractive and mean-looking at the same time. Regarding performance, the KTM 390 Duke always shocked the ride with its flying ability and instant power delivery. This 2024 KTM 390 Duke has reduced some orange and weight too, thanks to that, along with the sporty design it is looking pretty elegant as well. More Sharp edges have been introduced this time and they are doing their job to give it a monster kinda feel. Being a naked street fighter it's very agile like before and even more so thanks to the reduced wheelbase which added more maneuverability to this aggressive bike. 177cc Kawasaki is out in the market now with its retro styling and vintage tech as well. | Price, Engine, Features, Mileage | HighRPM
There was a time when Kawasaki had small hearts as well and those hearts were pretty affordable too but being a premium motorcycle manufacturer they discontinued them. After so many years they are back with their new fully India made bike with small heart and affordable in terms of Kawasaki otherwise they this machine is too on the expensive court. Therefore they have launched the all new Kawasaki W175, we all know that Kawasaki's W means modern retro styling and great aura. However, it feels so weird to say that this Kawasaki is powered by just 177cc where we are used to heard some big engines powering the bike and giving them jaw dropping power but in this case the power is not showing the Kawasaki behaviour which is too uncomfortable.
Coming back to this newly launched bike, it have that typical Kawasaki W design which is looks timeless always but my eyes are used to see bulky Kawasaki that this bike taking more than usual to fit in my eyes, I couldn't help myself.
Back to the bike the looks are full of vintage touches as we expect from W series of Kawasaki.
The price of this machine is very interesting and seriously speaking for Kawasaki badge and their engineering this price is great. It is available in two variants where there is only difference of paint scheme and bit designing other than that there is no serious difference.
So, the bike starts at 1.47 lakh and goes up to 1.49 lakh 2k more for paint scheme and chrome Kawasaki badging.
- Kawasaki Ebony.....1.47 lakh
- Kawasaki Candy Persimmon Red.....1.49 lakh
Now, comes the main highlight of this bike, the engine. Where we have seen some bulky engine this seems very weird in Kawasaki and it also not even close to Kawasaki's least powerful machine out there.
This bike powered by 177cc 4-stroke single cylinder air cooled engine with 65.5mm of bore & 52.4mm of stroke and compression ratio of 9.1:1 SOHC, fuel injection and BS6 emission norm.
This heart is capable to pump out 12.8bhp of power at 7500rpm and 13Nm of torque at 6000. To use this power and torque this bike is having 5 speed of manual transmission.
In terms of feature this is comes with minimal features which fits in this price range and which fits in Kawasaki name.
- Single channel ABS
- Odometer
- Analogue speedometer
- Fuel guage
- Digital tripmeter
- Digital tachometer
- Low fuel warning
- Gear shift indicator
- Clock
I know this is very small list this much features you'll get when you will purchase this bike.
Now, coming to the main part of this conversation, what is the mileage? Unfortunately, the mileage of this machine is not yet out by the brand but the size of the fuel tank is 12 litres which is pretty nice size of a tank.
To maintain the retro style this comes with the spoke wheels due to which that vintage aroma get way more strong and turn its world up side down to take you to that era. So, it is running on 80/100 - 17 at front with telescopic fork 110mm and at rear it has 100/90 - 17 tyre with hyraulic type dual rating spring suspension. In terms of brakes at front is thing is having 270mm of disc brake with ABS and at rear the drum is serving you its best.
In terms of lighting, it feature, all halogen setup without any LED light, and it have that always on feature, god bless your battery. Kawasaki is not offering full LED setup in some its expensive bikes, so, what this thing hods, who is saying Kawasaki Ninja 650, Z650, Ninja 300, 400 (#coughing).
- Headlamp- Halogen
- Til light- Halogen
- Blinker- Halogen
- Always on- Available
Dimension and weight
- Length- 2005mm
- Width- 805mm
- Height- 1050mm
- Wheelbase- 1320mm
- Ground clearance- 165mm

- Weight- 135kg
Looks
They wanted to make it retro and I think they nailed it, the essence of vintage is pretty hard hitting you from every angle and from every pose. The retro is appearance is looking great literally taking me back to that era. Pure classic body lang simple from every way and that thing is the key point of this bike.
Too simple and too old school from looks as well as from tech as well. The bike is having round headlamp which is holding an halogen inside which is of course not surprising because some Ninja is also having halogen setup still with Kawasaki pricing, the chrome treatment around the lamp is giving more old touch to the bike and to give company to the lamp it have rounded blinkers which are halogen too and this whole setup is taking enough to take black & white period.
Even the placement of number plate reminds you the old days and to give it more vibes rubber is there on front suspension and to make it more retro the RVMs are also round.
Side view
Its a compact bike, not as bulky as other Kawasaki. From side it is actually looking good. The main difference between the two variants is of colour and chrome badging on fuel tank. The length of the bike good, ground clearance is also allowing you to cross all the bad patches of road without much worry. The seat height is good for all tall as well as short riders. It comes with a single piece seat which is flat won't have that step up thing. 177cc engine is completely exposed which is nicely packed. Spoke wheels are there and being in an Indian version saree guard is also there but not like other Kawasaki huge ugly saree, it is nicely fitted which is not stealing the whole show.
The rear end of the machine is also very simple, features old school tail light and blinker. The tail light is literally having that old design. It is kinda weird to look at eh Kawasaki from the back and not encountering a fat tyre. Simple grab rail is there too to hold on if your friend is not good rider, joke apart.
Instrument cluster
Digital-analogue cluster which have only important things to show you. It get an analogue speedometer along small digital display that shows you fuel, time, trip and odo. Alert light are surrounding the cluster from two sides.
Seriously speaking, I'm not a fan of this motorcycle but this is a good bike for those people who see Kawasaki as their dream bike but cannot afford them this is their bike although the pricing is not that low but still better than Ninja 300. And when this thing kicks in, this dream thing, features and stuff look small to me. Meanwhile, the bike super super basic and vintage from look as well as from tech.
