 MG ZS EV is that electric suv which slides in your life with a package of power, comfort, money saver and style. That ZS EV got a full update and brand ensured the improvement than earlier.

The new 2022 MG ZS EV is more futuristic by look than before, more miles provider than before and more luxurious than before. Morris Garages have updated almost whole car thus, the fresh vibes are strong enough to pull the limelight toward itself. 

Now, the car is powered by bigger battery to which company claims more range and some new add on features are making it an amazing machine.

The facelift of MG ZS EV comes in two variants where the price starts at 21.99 lakh and stops at 25.88 lakh.

This electric SUV is accompanied by 50.3kWh Lithium Ion battery which is placed under the floor, the battery power up the whole car including 1 permanent magnet synchronous motor at front axle. It get that regenerative braking feature which ensure saving power and generation of little energy. 

This battery is able to give you fun of 174 bhp of power and amazing 280Nm of torque, thus the car can achieve 100km/h in 8.5 second.

Disc brakes are there at both the ends fixed between 215/55 R17 alloy wheels. The alloy design is matching the stance of the car.

Exterior 

It is looking more electric than the old one, things have been changed that are giving new and refreshed essence. Being an SUV the physique is bold and tough. 

Face 

Earlier the ZS was living with a traditional grille that gave awesome effect to the car but that was somehow vanishing that EV thing but now brand has given closed grille with some texture, it also get charging point of the car beside the MG logo. Due to this finish it is looking futuristic and more exciting thing to watch. 

It get all LED headlamps but the eyes are similar to it gas sibling, the MG Astor, DRLs style and the slickness everything is like Astor. It won't get dedicated fog lamps. 

Down to bumper, the sharpness is giving it an aggressive styling. Hood get some sporty lines too, rain sensing wipers are there and ORVMs get heated function and indicator embedded in them. 

Side profile 

The length and the height of the new ZS have been increased by some mm, but these increments are not noticeable by naked eyes. The design flow is good not so sharp and innovative but the windows overall shape is quite interesting the shape is sharp giving nice look to the side. Black cladding is there with some chrome finish as well. Alloy design is nice and telling that this is an EV although if the wheel size is 18 inch it would be awesome. Great, it have functional roof rails as well as. 

Rear end 

Sporty looking back with attractive LED split tail lights, defogger with wiper and washer, high mounted stop lamp. Down part is decorated with reflectors housed in black fake vents design adding more character to the car. Bumper design is present in the diffuser too. No exhaust outlets, oh, it's an EV it won't need any. 

Comes with old school antenna, and massive panaromic sunroof.

Interior

MG has maintained their awesome work in the cabin. The high expectations seem to be full filled by the brand. 

Rear seats

The seats at rear comes with all three adjustable headrests and center armrest with cup holders, child seat mount is there as well. Talking about the leg room, knee room and head room all are great. Rear AC vents are place between the front seats, usual place. 

Front seats 

Seats with proper support and comfort level and MG won't compromise with comfort I have seen that. Electric seat adjust is just for driver not for front passenger which is kinda suprising to me. 

Dashboard 

Now, here I can smell Astor alot, all the elements and the way they have placed is like Astor,  just that robo is missing in ZS. 

All things are well packed, nicely put together. At the center you get a big infotainment system which is loaded with features and have same interface as Astor. AC controls are virtual no physical buttons available, below that infotainment system it get physical controls for defogger and some infotainment system controls. 

Coming down, you get 12v socket and USB points, wireless charging area, drive modes, drive selector rotary knob, electronic parking brake and auto hold control are there. Center armrest is available with storage and cup holders are there too. 

It get three spoke multifunction steering wheel which is slightly flat from bottom, slightly. You can control media, calls, voice command, instrument cluster and other things from controls embedded in the steering wheel. Cruise control get a dedicated knob behind steering. 

The car get all digital instrument cluster which is literally full of information, tells you, speed, power, range, battery, drive mode, time, temperature, average speed, odometer, tripmeters, and other info. 

So, that's good that, the brand have given bigger battery which returns more kilometres and in terms of looks and comfort the car is able to stand out in the crowd, one thing which I don't like is that the cabin is to much Astor however the quality is not questionable at all.
