2022 Skoda Kodiaq facelift has been launched at 34.99 lakh | Price, Power, Mileage, Features | HighRPM

 On 10th of Jan , Skoda launched the facelift version Kodiaq. The car is as handsome as it was earlier, even more now. Kodiaq is a wonderful SUV that looks fab with its simple but elegantly attractive styling which flawlessly put its personality in spotlight. Those aggressive touches are perfectly merging in the aura of this car thus it have that fantastic attitude in its body language. 

Lavish interior is same as a Michelin star chef prepare his or her dish, sophisticated, eye relaxing and full of flavours. Dual tone cabin with loaded amenities that takes the car to another level where you will experience the excellence of Skoda, #simplyclever. 

Available only in single 2.0L petrol engine with DCT and tubro. 

The new Skoda Kodiaq came out again with new price tag which is saying 34.99 lakh and the top end price is 37.49 lakh. The car is available in three variants. 

  • Skoda Kodiaq Style.....34.99 lakh              (A) 
  • Skoda Kodiaq Sportline.....35.99 lakh      (A) 
  • Skoda Kodiaq L&K.....37.49 lakh               (A) 

Skoda launched this facelift with only petrol engine which is not a good thing we need diesel as well. 
Skoda gave this an 1984cc 4 inline cylinder TSI turbocharged petrol engine which is churning 188bhp of power at 4200rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1500rpm. It an AWD vehicle with 7 speed DCT transmission, turbocharged and BS6 emission compliant.

Earlier this car had many features and still it have many and it also includes some cool stuffs as well.

Exterior
The way Skoda have carved this SUV is literally appreciating and Kodiaq is that share of their portfolio which mostly show them green. 

Face 
There is not much cosmetic changes it looks pretty much similar as earlier but still fresh, won't feel out dated. The tiger grille is there standing boldly with too much of chrome and attached to the headlamps which are slim than before I believe. DRLs are slick giving sharp character to the car, fog lamps are just below the lamps and they are also LED and Kodiaq also get one of the most coolest features which is not in the trend now the headlamp washers. 
Down to the face black, vents are there closely associated with the sharp bumper that increases the sporty look of the Kodiaq. New Skoda logo is there on the hood with two line as per Skoda's taste. 

Side profile
One thing which is I loved after seeing Kodiaq is that the roof line is slightly floating down thus to me it look lengthier than its actual length (4.6m) however its length is more than enough. Alloys design is just mind blowing and the size is also good but 19 inchers could have been better. Ground clearance is not that great, when it is a case of full size SUV 140mm might tickle you over bad roads. Windows are surrounded by thin chrome line, windows are big enough to draw plenty of light and make cabin more lively. Sporty lines are running across the side of the car which are enhancing the sporty appeal of vehicle. Functional roof rails are there to carry more luggage of yours. 

Rear end 
Really like the tail light design, which is enhancing the back look of the car. Split tail light setup is there with big Skoda badging at the center of boot gate. Rear wiper, washer and defogger all the friends of an SUV are present here along with roof mounted spoiler. The diffusion is black with sliver kind of thin line running over it and also highlighting the dual exhaust system. 
It get massive panaromic sunroof with small shark fin antenna. 

Interior
Sophisticated cabin with a sense of premium quality and maturity of decoration just adding posh vibes in the cabin. 

Last row 
The last row is like always good for small kids absolutely not for adults. Quarter glasses are pretty big thus it allows more light and air feel which keep the atmosphere over here light and claustrophobic free. 

Second row
There is only 7 seater option which means captain seats are not there, the party trick of Kodiaq is that nap package, it's a foldable extension of headrest which can be used to keep you head at place while you are sleeping at the back. 
Skoda is offering you 3 zone automatic climate control AC, rear AC vents are there, arm rest with cup holder and three adjustable headrests. Over here child seat mount is present and 40:20:40 split allow you to make a bed by declining last row simultaneously. Manual sun blinds are also present for second row. 

Front seats 
At front amenities increases, here you get two different climate zones, 12 way electrically adjustable seats with lumbar support for driver seat. Get center arm rest with some space and the arm rest is slidable back and forth.

Dashboard 
The dual tone effect is literally giving awesome feel. Seriously speaking, I personally don't love the dash as much as I love the car, it is not looking fresh to me. Glossy finishing giving it amazing styling. At the middle of the dash the infotainment system is embedded with physical controls on both the sides. The screen is filled with features whereas the graphics and animation everything is showing the price point of the car and justifying it as well. 

Coming down from infotainment there is physical AC controls. Below that some space, wireless charging and USB ports are present. Gear lever or you can say drive selector which is  wrapped in  leather. Get Electronic parking brake, the glossy black finish on the center console giving amazing feel. 
It get two spoke multi function steering wheel which is my fav, many people are saying that the two spoke is looking incomplete but I don't think so. The steering get all the usual functions but cruise controls are not on steering it get a separate knob for it. 
Fully digital instrument cluster is there showing bunch of things about the vehicle in a very intersting way, you can explore the cluster but using a button embedded in the steering. 

Overall, the car is fabulous, looks, cabin, power everything is amazing but the absence of diesel engine will always feel like something is missing and dashboard design could have been better and ventilation function is also missing.
