The new Mahindra Bolero Neo is better than the Regular Bolero? | Price, Power, Mileage, Features |HighRPM

Mahindra has launched new version of their one of the most famous vehicle Bolero now they have new Bolero Neo as well in their portfolio. Seriously speaking the new Neo is looking amazing than regular Bolero and have more features than regular. The Neo is giving good vibes and solid build quality sense. That boldness of Mahindra is definitely there which makes it more striking.

The interior is also have many upgrades and the biggest are new infotainment system, instrument cluster, all power windows and center locking. Cabin of the car is looking absolutely phenomenal, applause for this.

The vehicle is only available in diesel engine no petrol is there and automatic transmission is still missing. This engine generates good amount of power and torque.

Price of all new Bolero Neo is not nuch different from regular Bolero it starts at 8.48 lakh and the top model of Neo knows as N10 cost 9.99 lakh. SUV is available in three variants with diesel engine and manual transmission.

Diesel

  • Mahindra Bolero Neo N4.....8.48 lakh         (M)
  • Mahindra Bolero Neo N8.....9.48 lakh         (M)
  • Mahindra Bolero Neo N10.....9.99 lakh       (M)

The Neo comes with 1.5L 1493cc 3 inline cylinder DOHC I4 mHawk 100 turbocharged diesel engine. This heart pumps out 100bhp of power at 3750rpm and amazing 260Nm of torque at 1750rpm. The best thing is that its a RWD vehicle which increases the thrill and it also produces more power and torque than regular. Have 5 speed manual transmission and BS6 emission compliant.

The new Neo have more features than the regular one which is pretty nice thing.
  • 2 airbags
  • ABS
  • EBD
  • Seat belt warning
  • Remite center locking
  • Engine immobilizer
  • Speed sensing door lock
  • Child safety lock
  • Parking sensors
  • Cruise control
  • Anti glare RVM
  • Manual AC
  • Height adjustable steering wheel
  • Rear defogger
  • Rear wiper
  • Electrically adjustable ORVMs
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Power windows (F&R)
  • 8 and 6 way manually adjustable drive seats and front passanger seat respectively
No doubt that Mahindra have worked on features but still there are lots of features which are missing like, apple car play, android auto connect, ESP, rear parking camera, brake assist. Rear camera is not there which is a kind of weird thing but the good thing is that it have more features than regular.

Bolero Neo is very impressive in terms of mileage, it gives you around 17-18 kmpl and the fuel tank capacity is 50L.

It get disc brakes at front only not at the back, it get alloy wheels but the size is not matching the personality, 215/75 R15, 16 inchers could have been better.

The design of lights is reflecting Mahindra style and taste.
Headlamps- Halogen
Tail lights- Halogen
Fog lamps- Halogen
Indicators- Halogen
DRLs- LED

Measure the new Neo
Length- 3.995m
Width- 1.795m
Height- 1.817m
Wheelbase- 2.680m
Ground clearance- 16cm / 160mm

Exterior
Seriously speaking, the new Neo is looking very nice, the styling and the toughness is now more clearly visible than before. Now it look solid, rigid and tough as well.

Front end
Definitely you get lots of TUV effects, I love the boldness on the face which makes it very attractive and very charming. The grille have fat  vertical chrome bars giving it a nice punch. Headlamps are connected to grille which creates a great motion although it won't feature LED light except DRLs. You get halogen fog lamps at the lower part of the front.

Side profile
Not the lengthy SUV in the segment but the look from the side is pretty impressive. Those weird graphics on the regular Bolero on the side is not present in this one. The wheels are on the smaller court with respect to the personality of the SUV, however, the alloy design is looking great. The black cladding is running all across the side, the ground clearance is nice ready to take bad roads easily. The windows are large enough to refresh the cabin. Side step is there for you to enter in Neo easily and smoothly.

Back side
The spare wheel is attached to the boot gate giving off roader feel. The boot gate is actually the door for third row after all its a 7 seaters although you can fold jump seats of third to increase the boot carrying capacity or you can say to make it boot. Get simple tail lamps with reflectors at the bottom. It also have step to access third row. It won't get sharp fin antenna that old school antenna at front is there. Defogger is present along with rear wiper.

Interior
This time the interior is looking very impressive, the cabin regular Bolero have is not the most appreciating.

Last row, at last it get two jump seats facing each other and this is the boot of the Neo as well you just have to fold the jump seats. They have given two seats but only one person can sit there because your knee and other person's will fight very hard. This is the most uncomfortable claustrophobic place of this car Mahindra should remove these seats and make it a proper boot, it get a window which is not fully openable you can open it that much by which only air can enter. No seats belts for these passangers.

Second row, major improvements are coming out from here. You get all power windows that's a nice touch, you get two adjustable headrests and not a fixed one for center, get center armrest cup holders are missing and AC vents are also not available for rear. Other than this the quality and fit finish has been enhanced to some extent.

Front seats, one thing I really like is that it get two separate arm rest for both the people at front. Seats are looking good and comfortable too.

Dashboard, the dual tone look is giving it nice look and appearance. The dash might remind you about its elder brother Scorpio because of new infotainment system which is also present in Scorpio, the system has good number of features but missed out rear parking camera so no reverse parking view but it have sensors and apple car play and android auto connect are also absent however you can connect your device via bluetooth. You get various buttons on each side of the screen. AC controls are below touchscreen system. Some space is there nearby gear knob, you get all four power windows control at the center nearby manual hand brake and over there you also get two cup holders.

Steering wheel get volume controls on the left hand and cruise control on the right. Instrument cluster is similar to one we have seen in very famous Mahindra Thar, the cluster is a digital-analogue unit where the left corner is taken by tachometer and the right is by speedometer and digital display at the center which shows you many things about the vehicle.

Overall the Neo is much much better than regular Bolero in many aspects but some thing could have been more better.
This is the all new 2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo.......
