An avid off-roader, alike beast and a practical machine came back to the scenario once again with new vibes, the new Isuzu D-Max has been launched in India. This bad boy have that strong & tough behavior which reflects in its appearance as well. Its bold look gives you extra confidence for conquering extreme off-road environment. The kind of attitude this angry animal have is something which you only feel in D-Max. The way of flow in design it have is very aggressive thus it looks more aggressive than other in the segment.

Isuzu launched the D-Max only with diesel engine, disappointment for petrol lovers however there are both type of transmission are available, manual and automatic both.

The new Isuzu D-Max starts at the price of 16.98 lakh and stops at 24.49 lakh. The car is available in four diesel variants, petrol engine is not available yet,

At front you get ventilated disc brakes but at rear you get drum brakes which is kinda surprising because the price can give you the disc at rear as well. The wheels it get are of same size at front and at back, 255/60 R18.

Now it get LED lights which is a very nice thing but still fog lamps are halogen and considering it price halogen fog lamps are hard to digest.

Headlamps- LED Projectors
Tail light- LED
Fog lamps- Halogen
DRLs- LED

Measure the vehicle

Length- 5.29m
Width- 1.86m
Height- 1.84m
Wheelbase- 3.09m

Exterior

The car is looking absolutely rough & tough, its styling suits its personality. Boldness and fearless expressions lighting up the potential of this vehicle. Presence on the road is just mind blowing which helps the vehicle to dominate other rival in the market.

Front face

Unfortunately or sadly brand doesn't worked on the new styling of the D-Max only minor changes, although, the car is looking great no doubt but still the freshness is not there in my opinion.

Lots of chrome have been used, thick horizontal chrome bars giving it bit of premium touch and bit of sporty appeal. Headlamps are looking great and best thing is they are LEDs now, DRLs are also giving a nice punch to the face. Round shaped fog lamps are there but sadly they are not LEDs. The bumper has that sporty essence thus the whole face is looking very nice but brand should upgrade it.

Side profile

From side it appears very purposeful and athletic, the length is just mind blowing (5m+), diamond cut alloy wheels are giving an incredible momentum to the vehicle however 18 inch wheel for this kind of car is not enough 19 inchers could have been better. The windows are big enough to take freshness in the cabin easily. It get side steps for easy climbing, roof rails are there too.

Back side

Coming to the rear end of the vehicle, it looks super cool. Vertical tail light setup giving a nice touch to the car. Now, the main area of this car the boot, huge boot area which can take lot of load. Being a pick-up truck it offers great practicality. There are lots for accesories available for the loading bay one is "Canopy" it is a type of housing which looks fab.

Interior

The cabin is spacious, with no. of amenities present in the car.

Rear seats, at the rear, you get nice amount of space. You get center arm rest, rear AC vents and adjustable headrests.

Front seats, at front you get electric seat adjust for driver (6 way) and manually adjust front passanger seat (6 way). Adjustable headrests and arm rest are there.

Dashboard, the thing I don't like about Isuzu here is that they haven't worked on the dash that same old dash, I'm not saying that it is not looking great but dude update a car at least to some little extent.

The style of a dash is very nice you get an infotainment system at the center of the dash with AC vents on both the sides of the system. Below that you get AC controls all the controls are placed in a very interesting way that they form a circle with controls and at the center of this circle you get a display which shows you the temperature. It features manual hand brake.

It comes with three spoke steering wheel with volume, call, cruise and MID controls. The instrument is analogue digital unit where on left side you get tachometer and on the right you get speedometer and middle portion tells you many thing about the car.

The car looks super cool and in terms of practicality it won the battle but new style some new changes in interior have to be introduced.
