This extraordinary machine is having exceptional engine which offers insane power but more than power it offers an astounding look and presence.
The heart of the matter, 1802cc air/oil cooled 2 cylinder 4-stoke boxer engine with two chain driven camshaft, open drive shaft and double-cradle frame. The output of this engine is 89.8bhp of power at 4750rpm and torque of 158Nm at just 3000rpm.
One important thing, this is the biggest displacement BMW ever made for their two wheels magic.
First Edition variant comes with chrome decorated engine.

In my opinion this bike is not about features and power it's all about riding, all about feeling the road.
The mileage is not that great but not bad either, it pay you 17.8kmpl and the fuel tank size is 16L.
It get spoke wheels, at front 120/70 19 tyre with 300mm twin disc rotors and Brembo calipers and at rear 180/65 B16 with 300mm disc rotor with Brembo brake.
In First Edition variant you get brake calipers finished in chrome.

The design is absolutely magnificent, its level of detailing and level of art you can notice on this BMW is very rare. The aroma of BMW's rich history is very strong in this R18. Bike is looking dope from every angle, from every side, the boxer engine is looking lit.
Front, maintaining the retro charm the round shaped head light with modern LED technology, this mixer gives great throw at night and appearance all the time. The blinkers are hanging from the handle bar have vintage kind of style but modern LED from inside. Get bar end mirrors, round shaped, small size and yes First Edition get chrome finishing there as well. Tyre size is also very impressive. The slight view of boxer engine is adding a very interesting effect.
Side, first thing, length is incredible, it's a long motorcycle with lots of jaw dropping elements working greatly. The seat height is very low (cruiser) means good for everyone. But you won't have that laid back sitting position because of boxer, the engine is giving an incredible vibes just filling the bike with awesomeness. Two fish tail exhaust pipe at both sides of the bike reminding older day of motorcycle.
The ground clearance is very low therefore have to be super careful on bad roads and speed breakers but the thing which is more important, is that the engine and foot pegs are eager to touch the road while making the turn. The profile of the tyres are maintaining that angry and bad boy type look.
First Edition comes with white stripes meanwhile standard won't have that.
In my opinion this bike is a kind of beauty which looks more beautiful when the personality of the rider matches with the bike's. Comment if you think the same.
Rear, the width of the tyre is mind blowing, the blinkers are also very nicely participating in enhancing the looks of the bike. The boxer engine is still visible which is just stunningly increasing the beauty. Tail light is also very nicely designed.
The tank is a piece of art itself, design of fuel cap is fantastic telling the story of detailing.
Instrument cluster, cluster is simple retro style, analogue speedometer with small digital display which shows you fuel gauge, tachometer, tripmeter, time, odometer and other things.
The bike is definitely expensive but the thing is that this bike is all about riding and keeping that thing in mind, I don't think so that the price tag is wrong because every single penny would be back to you when you ride it. One thing which I wish this bike should feature is cruise control.
